1) How often do you weigh yourself?
Never , I get weighed only at Dr appts.
2) What is your primary source of protein?
Whey, then red meat
3) If you are over 1 yr post-op, how often do you see your bariatric surgeon? How often do you have labs done?
I was released last July , he said I was doing well enough that I didn't need him anymore.
PCP will be doing labs every July for me.
4) What is one fitness-related challenge that you hope to accomplish in the near future?
Want to finish my half trail run under 2hr. Still want to bench 350 this year and would like to squat 600 this year. Want to finish the flying marathon next May.
Not sure if I can obtain any of these with all my health issues but I'm gonna give it heck

No longer about weight , it's all about living.
) How often do you weigh yourself? I used to weigh weekly but have not been on the scale since my 6 month post-op apt in May. My focus has changed.
2) What is your primary source of protein? Whey, followed by a tie with poultry or fish
3) If you are over 1 yr post-op, how often do you see your bariatric surgeon? How often do you have labs done? Am only 7 months post-op so still on semi-annual cycle, labs will be done semi-annually as well.

1) twice daily. I'm a bit unusual, it is primarily to keep track of hydration levels. Secondarily it is a personal mental exercise to ensure I'm keeping myself accountable.
2) chicken, fish, then whey
3) Once a year, but I'm actually a bit late on my labs
4) this year it's mostly repeats of big events with more aggressive goals (RAIN ride, a 70.3, Goofy Challenge, sprint tri's etc.). Pondering a full IM in 2012, but not sure if I can commit to the training required.

Where are we going?? And why am I in this handbasket??
right now. somewhere. somebody is working harder than you.

The difference between what you weighed prior to workingout and what you weigh after workingout will give you your sweat loss and from this you can figure out how much you need to drink to fully rehydrate.

What Paul said, my weight is like a wavelength centered around 240 lbs, it will fluctuate daily anywhere between 246-247 to as low as 232. Believe it or not, but too high and too low indicate dehydration. On one end, fla****er loss, on the other, fluid retention. I try to make sure to keep track to help with how much I'm drinking or not drinking. Gross-out alert... I also have to be an expert on the various shades of yellow
