Three miles today - ran the first (sorta) and walked the last two fast. No weights - arms/hand/wrist and shoulder still sore from power strikes at karate.

Tried something different this morning. I ran 3-miles to the gym, hit leg weights for 40-minutes, then ran another 3-miles back home. Read about this workout in Runners World (Run-Strength-Run). It was everything I hoped for and more.  Give me an excuse to hang onto my gym membership.

Well, I HAD a big day planned.... Last night we had the late softball game and didn't get home until almost midnight last night! My alarm went off at 4am and was immediately silenced and ignored! :) I ended up rolling my booty out of bed at 7am and got ready for my ride. When I registered for Ironman Louisville, I promised my wife that I would be home by noon on Saturdays (My big training day). So, in keeping with my promise, I managed 70.25 miles in 3:36:18, and bricked 1 mile in 8:15. Looking forward to hanging out poolside and BBQ'ing for the rest of the day... Did my last sprint tri today, placed 1st in my age group (women 25-29) missed 3rd place overall by 43 seconds. Some fast ladies out there today. 1st female overall was 51, that rocks!
