P90X Classic or Lean?

So I've ordered P90X and it should be here soon.  Should I do classic or lean? I want to tone up some of the jiggle in my thighs and arms.  I'm also wanting to loose some inches in my waist and strengthen my abs before my TT next March.

I think Classic is more weight training and Lean is more cardio?  So should I start with Lean and switch over to Classic? I'm confused hahah!

Any tips, advice or .02 cents is welcome

I am a major P90X fan and have been doing it for a year and a half.  I have awesome muscle tone!  I did the classic in the beginning then after 90 days, I started integrating other things with P90X.......for instance, I run 2 days a week, and do 3 weight workouts from P90X or P90X+ other days....alternating core, upper body and legs/back.......I always do the ab workout on the days I do weights.  I only get to do the yoga once every 2 weeks...and can STILL only do about 45 minutes of the 1.5 hour workout!  I do the P90X cardio workouts more in the winter when I can't get outside and run.

In the scheme of things, the lean program is "easier" (really it is all high level exercising!) and all of the workouts will give you a good workout!  The key is "muscle confusion"--keeping the body guessing what is coming next.  As long as you alternate cardio one day and then weights the next, you'll be fine.

Enjoy it--I love it and credit it for the great muscles I have today!!

Thank you Kim for the reply! Such good tips.  Sounds like your in great shape ;o)

I'm currently doing Zumba at home and I walk or jog daily. I'm really excited to start it and I hope that I gain some muscle tone.

Do you happen to know if the brazil but lift by beach body works? I'd like to try that as well.

try the insanity workout plan. It is high intensity, but it works out all your body while doing cardio. AND THE TRAINER IS SOOOOOO MOTIVATING!(Specially his body jiji)
