With the Infinit they do have a dietician on staff who will do a phone consult with you if you want.
They can help you formulate the correct product for you.

I have 2 different products from them one for the bike which has protein in it and one for the run which does not.  I did not care for the lemon lime flavored one (just a taste thing)  So I add a scoop of crystal light to it to change the flaver.  It's all good now.

Here is anothe article on what to eat

The one thing I notice is there is always similarity and always divergent ideas on what to do.
We make it even more complex by having our plumbing rerouted the way we do.

I believe in picking and choosing what works for you.
Try it at home, then try it on a  short workout then progress to longer workouts and see if it works for you.

It's kind of a grab bag of nutrition.

In training I take a cliff shot block every 20 minutes on the bike, there are 6 blocks in a pack. I also have water in my areodrink and Gatorade in my cage bottle. On the run I take a honey stinger gel every 4 miles. This is what is working for me personally in training, I am doing my first half ironman on July 9th and my first ironman on August 28th, so I will see how this will work in a race.

I use Powerbar Energy Bites. Each one is about 35 calories and I have one every 15 min except on the hour I have a gel. This amounts to about 200 calories which is my minimum. If it's a hard course or hot out, I supplement with a sports drink.

The body can only take in 200-400 calories per hour during hard exercise so keep that in mind.

Jilian - are you doing IMC? If so, we should get together!
