Monday workouts
I am one month out today, and got clearance to start the gym at my local rehab center today. I had my assessment today and learned to use several machines. It went very well. I got a very good deal from my Bariatric Center to join ($50 for the first 3 months and they paid for the assessment). I also got memberships for my husband and daughter (21). My goal is to get in the gym everyday Mon-Sat, do machines Mon, Weds and Fri, and cardio each day. I intend to go in first thing in the morning each day, my daughter promises to go with me 3 times a week in the mornings, and I'll probably go again a couple of times a week in the evenings with my husband. I will stick to legs, arms and cardio for now, as I am not allowed to start abs for a few more weeks.
The highlight of my week was I walked 10 miles in NYC (at 4 weeks out) last Thursday. Hindsight: this was probably a dumb thing to do at 4 weeks out as I was feeling it about halfway back, BUT the good part is, I was able to do it.

Let me just say I love seeing all the new faces posting to the daily workout treads. Way to go everyone!

Its been a while but I have been busy training for my 2nd tri this weekend. I just found out the lake temp is 84 degree so unless there is a snow storm in Ashville NC this week or a least a cold snap no wetsuit : ( on well just make the most of it. Anyhow today was a brick.
