Run for the Dream 1/2 Marathon

Awesome!  Congrats!  I ran the 8K the day before and I have to agree that they did do a great job organizing it.  Did the main sponsor speak before the 1/2?  He gave a great speech before the 8K and a Congressional Medal of Honor recipient even spoke (Col Wesley Fox USMC-Ret).  It was the inaugural event and I know that one of the people who helped with the race also works on the Boston Marathon.  I have to agree that the hills were killers.  I walked up the last hill into the stadium but started running when I got into the stadium.  As far as the BG tickets go, they also give out a free BG ticket during the Christmas Town Dash through BG.  Again congrats!  I can't wait until I can get a 13.1 sticker of my own.  Heck I'll probably paper my car with them!

Way to go on your first half Erin! Those hills sound brutal. All my halfs have been flat, and that's hard enough, you are hardcore! Great job sticking it out and making it to the finish line! This will be the first of many.
