Hi All, I am new to this forum, but have been a poster in the mens forum for awhile.

I ran my first 5K this weekend and finished as well. Unlike most I didn't really train. I now know I should have. It was the second time in 27 uears I had run, the first being the Thursday before the race.

I went out and bought some running clothes, and looking forward to signing up for my next 5K. My training for the next race begins tomorrow. I am going to run to my club as wamr-up before I lift.

Yes, I was in the race with Paul and Chad. Can't say I ran with them. I will try and improve my time, to be more competitive in the future. I just made a commitment to myself to run my first 5K, and made sure I accomplished that goal. Now to improve.

Well I must be hooked. I ran another 5K today to see about getting my time down. I took 5 minutes off my time, from Saturday, so I did it in 39:17, Once I have the endurance to run up the actual hills I bet I can shave another 5 minutes off the time with little else changing.

Great job, Jay!! As Paul said, it was good to meet you. Keep up the training and before too long, he and I will be chasing you on the homestretch!!
