Sunday Workouts

I hiked 2.5 miles straight up hill and then back down.  It always amazes me how different types of exercise challenge my body.  My heart was beating pretty good at the top of the mountain but was fine a couple of minutes later.  A group of college kids (who were probably 20 years my junior) were panting and sweating.  Made me feel kinda good that I didn't have such a hard time climbing up.

I did the Metro Tri. (Olympic distance)

I thought I was in big trouble on the run. I pushed it too hard in the beginning and my calf and knee were killing me and I wasn't sure I could even walk it. But then I remembered I had Advil with me and I took some. I limped through until it kicked in and then I could race walk the rest. I even was able to job a big to the finish line. Then I went to the med tent and got a lot of ICE!! LOL

Oh and with all that, I didn't even come in last! 3 other people came in after me and one was my age so I wasn't even last in my age group.
