Skipping the gym today, just doing my "required" brown belt workout - one mile run, 50 pushups, 50 situps, five minutes of jump rope, 15 minutes stretching. Back at the gym tomorrow morning.

Did the Governor's ride this morning. It was only 11- miles but we rode to the start and home again, so we got in 25-miles. Knees and hamstring are a little sore, but hopefully chores will help work them into a painful fit.

Unintended rest day, was supposed to be a long run day, but my parents called me this morning begging for us to drive up to Maryland tonight instead of Tuesday night. Ironman is very important to me, but family still comes first. They miss their grand kids and don't get to see them very often. So I am working on getting us all packed and hoping for a 5pm departure time, I drive through the night so the girls will be asleep for most of the ride, just easier that way.
