It all starts today.

I haven't had any real exercise since this last semester started.  I was up every morning by 5 to put in a couple hours of studying before work, then off to work, get home, dinner and family time, back to bed, rinse and repeat.

My ownly workouts have been recreational rides on the weekend.  I'm so glad this semester is over, and there are no classes that I can take this summer.  During this down time of no exercise, I managed to gain 12 pounds, so I have a lot of work to do between now and July 30th.

I have two months to train for the bike portion of the vineman, and my marathon training starts in June.  I want to be able to RUN DISNEYWORLD, not just survive it.

Scott, is the vineman at the russian river?   if so I use to get up early to watch the people go into the river for the big swim, then get out and ride!  Just amazing!!!  Good luck!

Scott,

No doubt that you will get back to where you want to be scale wise, and that the 3 of you will rock your race as a team.  I believe that you each would be more than capable of doing it on your own just as well as you could as a team.

You have invested many hours over the long haul to physically get where you want to be and have a great foundation to build upon.

Keep up the great work.

I can't believe you have been doing all the crazy rides on the weekend with practically no training during the week.

I am a full time student too, but I don't have a job, mad props to you for juggling all that. I am on a 2 week summer break right now, and then I start the summer semester.

You will get it all back! I know you have the determination!

Yeah and it shows in my results during those rides!

Hopefully I'll get some fitness back between now and the end of July.
I know I can ride the distance, it's just a matter of how fast.  I don't want to be the lead weight for my team.

I didn't mean it like that, just that you had the will to complete so many of those rides with minimal training, its impressive!

I know you were being nice.  I'm just being realistic.
I tried some events without the proper training and it showed.

But, at least I learned that I was close, and with some training, it should be good the next time.

i'm with jillian, kudos for putting it out there without the ability to put in the quality training hours during the week.  in a couple of weeks you'll be back in it big time.
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.
