Getting fit before surgery

Hey all,
I finally have a surgery date, 7/18.  I am kind of happy that it is a couple of months away as I really need some time to try and get exercise in before hand.  I had to do the whole 6 month supervised diet and exercise program, unfortunately a month or so in I reinjured a knee and wasn't able to exercise much.  I ended up having the choice between arthroscopic knee surgery and orthovisc injections.  I went with the injections and wow have they helped.

So I am looking for suggestions on what type of exercise would be best to get ready for surgery.  Running really isn't an option.  My thoughts have been to bike or walk a 3-4 days a week, do yoga a couple of times a week, and maybe do weights a couple of times a week.  Yes, I really like yoga,it is a great stress reliever and way to get stretched out.

Does anyone have any other suggestions on what to do to get ready for the surgery?

Thanks,
Chris

Combine weight training, squats on the wall, with laps in between each exercise.  The important thing is to keep moving as much as possible. Good luck with surgery. Glad to see your thinking about exercise now, it will help you be successful.
