I have my first 1/2 coming up next Sunday and I have not had a run since last Monday 5/2....life has not only gotten in my way but stomped on me while I was down.  I refuse to give up, but I am finding it hard to get motivated again.  So, I am looking to my Workout Friends to give me the kick in the ass that I need...I also need you to tell me that I can do this, even if I have only ran 10 miles as my long run....

I don't believe in kicking people in the ass, but I can tell you that for all 4 of my half's, my long runs were 10 miles, I ran every half without stopping, and my half PR is 1:51:17, so if I really KNOW you can do it!

It does suck when life gets in the way, but st those times you need to trust in the foundation that you have built. There is no doubt that you can do this, just believe in your self.

I totally believe in you and know that you've got this! You won't let yourself down after all the hard work you've put in. You're ready, you should be tapering anyway. Have a great time with it. Since it's your first, it will be a PR no matter what! And I can't wait to read your race report. So go get them.
