What, it's 10:15am California time and no thread yet???  Everyone sleeping in or out at their races?  :)

Hope you all are having a wonderful day.  Down here at my mom's in Whittier.  Did 8 miles jog/walk with lots of big hills.  Perfect day, overcast and cool.

What are you all up to this Saturday?

Ran 4 1/2 miles to start the day. Then after 17 miles, took a nasty spill next to Stanley's today. My front wheel was bent. Luckily the rest of the bike survived. Oh, and I did a flip and roll, landed on my shoulder and helmet.  Then on my feet. My bike was about 30 yards down the road. Hamstring and shoulder are going to turn a nice black and blue, and my knee is throbbing. Life is great. The Delaware Marathon gods are just trying to test me to see how much I can take before next week. Hope that a good icing will help so I can run tomorrow.

OMG, I hope you are ok Rob.  Aren't you suppose to be tapering this week.  Ice and take care of yourself.  You'll rock the Marathon.

Not sure the half marathon next week is going to happen. Going to get x-rays today, but my knee is swollen and I can't put my pressure on it. Hopefully they'll give me something to bing the swelling down. I just don't think someone wants me to do this race. Not a big deal, but I don't want to miss the duathlon later in the month.

Had a great 6 mile hike (completely uphill the first 3 miles) - will probably regret it later but it felt good. Makes 5K seem like a little stroll

Did 30 minutes in the weight room, 25 minutes on the treadmill, 20 minutes on the bike and 5 on the eliptical. Think I need to start doing the eliptical more; it gives my weak legs a great workout.

Did the Tri The Farm Intermediate distance triathlon. The girl who placed 3rd female overall beat me by 20 seconds, on the run she came out of nowhere .4 from the finish line sprinting past me, I tried to catch up to her but she was gone, so instead I placed first in my age group, I was so close to another overall placing. I will post a race report when the race company posts the official splits.
