You guys and gals are totally awesome!  You inspire me.  I can't wait until I can post about my own 5k's, 10k's, and such.

Also, this is the nicest forum I've seen on OH.  I've never seen anyone be snippy or mean.  You all rock!

Welcome and thanks!  This is without a doubt the best forum on here.

Best way to post your own 5K and 10K stories is to sign up or one .

Remember it isn't about how fast you are in the begining it is about finishing.

You feel free to post about the walk to the end of your driveway, or to he mailbox, or whatever your next goal is!!!

What Paul said is true - sign up for a 5K - i bet there is one in your area in the fall that would be great to walk, jog, run...whatever suits your ability!

I found this board a year ago and I have done so much because of them!!!  I was just curious to see if I could do what they do and while I can't do half of what they do, I can do the other half...they are so helpful and full of tips and soooo very supportive!!!  This is the only board I post on....I will however read the main forum if I am needing some entertainment....

I love that cup half full mentality.  What a great way of looking at it!

My surgery is better than your surgery!
You will fail if you eat that!
You are not taking the right vitiamins!

Just incase you were missing the crap from the other boards.  No? Didnt think so.  We dont play those games here.  The poeple on this board are super cool!

Take lots of pictures of your first 5k.  For me it was the most liberating experience I have ever had.  Watch out though, 5k's turn into 10k's into half marathons, century bike rides, triathlons....it all becomes additive!

Good luck

Oh, you are too funny!  Some of that stuff drives me crazy and the rest always makes me wonder if I'm doing it "right".

Don't worry, I'll take tons of pictures...and post one or two!
