BodyBugg System

I'm about to go from lap band to bypass and I'm not doing it without exercise. I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience with the BodyBugg system that is used on the Biggest Loser TV series.
I'm really considering buying one, but I want to hear from others if (based on their own experiences) they think it is worth the purchase.

Sooooo.... Anybody with any insight,
PUHLEEEEEZE post!!!!

I've heard of it, but have never tried it.  I believe some people on the RNY forum have used it, or something like it, you might want to check there too!

Best of luck with your revision!

I used it for about 6 months. It helped me lose weight consistently because I tracked my food and exercised more, but as far as the technology goes, I'm not convinced it was entirely accurate. Based on the #s, on how many calories I was burning daily, it wasn't showing on the scale.

But I can't complain because I did lose more weight when I used it, but I think it was just bc I was forced to track my food, and I'd get excited to see my calorie output spike during exercise or any activity really.

I have one and I love it. It gives me more control and helps me see how little choices add up. I have found the calorie burn to be reasonably accurate except for low impact sports like biking. However, I don't have a malabsorptive component to my surgery.

I have one and it really helped me lose weight. I felt like after I had a month of data into it that it really was accurate because it would match up the calorie deficit and weight loss. With WLS, it isn't factoring in the malabsorption though, not possible. But its great for workouts and seeing where you are at and what you are doing on a daily basis, plus the website prints out so many cool charts/reports, etc.

I felt like the food logging option on it was a little more dated and hard to use than myfitnesspal. But definitely doable and you can enter your own food. I also have the digital display that lets you read the results without downloading them from the bugg itself. Very cool stuff.
