had a really good training ride, very hilly with little to no flat road.  it is an out and back to a state park (Amicalola Falls) at the base of the N. GA mountains and is just over 25 miles from my front door.  so total ride of 51 miles or so in 2:46 and change.  way better pace than the same route this time last year.  now my legs are cooked, you can fry an egg on my thighs :)

Thanks, I've really been concentrating on the bike in prep for the RAIN ride later this summer. My coach tested my zones on the run last week and my peak is 175, max is set @ 180 or so, but I've only seen it as high as 179 (and I thought I was going to die!). Next week I test my zones on the bike. Today's ride was designed as an endurance ride so I was to keep in zones 2 and 3, which I did for the most part, and I was told to stay in the saddle on all climbs.

some of those climbs looks fairly steep, that's pretty cool.  I am not at the point where I don't have to get up and give it everything to get up the hills around here.  I am very happy Orlando is my first HIM  :)

Nice long interval run (4 miles) and a couple miles walk to/from the path.  Beautiful outside!  Tonight I'll put on the LBD and go out for a nice dinner to celebrate our 6th anniversary!!
