that is just nuts.  i can't imagine running a 4:50 mile for a 1/2 mile let alone 26.2 miles.  i just can't wrap my head around it.  i didn't know that the Boston Marathon had a net decline in elevation.
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

yes, we're famous for our hills, but it's just cuz they come at the end - it's got a long downhill slant most of the way.

I don't think I could manage that pace to the end of my driveway.

I can't imagine running that fast and steady of a pace.
