 Basic Jew 1.0

Someone tries to kill us off
We fought back and won
Let's eat!

If you've seen the 10 Commandments (the original) or Prince of Egypt, then you know the Passover story.  The Seder is really fun with lots of traditional foods like haroset (apples, honey, wine and walnuts), matzoh ball soup, ...  There's really both the religious/traditional side of being Jewish and the ethnic side of being Jewish.  A lot of people are Jewish but don't practice religiously.  Others try to follow the 613 commandments.  Your girls would be considered Jewish because it follows the maternal side.  The reasoning is, you always know who the mom is even if you can't be sure of the dad.

PM me if you want to know more and I can send you my phone number or we can chat online.  I don't consider myself very religious, I'm conservative, but I've always been Jewish.  My DH converted and my boys both had wonderful Bar Mitvahs.  There are a lot of traditions and foods/recipes that I'd be happy to share with you.
