Slow but getting faster

I use RunKeeper on my Droid, and today it said I had a new personal record: 17.11 minutes per mile. I'm also up to 2-3 miles a day, five days a week. Not bad considering I started with a walk to the end of the block and back in January, and my pace on my first run was 24 minutes per mile. :)

I was never good at any sports at all when I was younger, so I'm stoked to be doing something athletic and actually improving at it!

Awesome! That's a big improvement, and from personal experience, not an easy one!!

I have found it helpful to keep logs (i use some iphone apps) of your improvements, so when weight loss slows down/stalls, you have something else to motivate you.

Keep it up!

in the end, it's not about speed, it's about grit, and it sure as hell sounds like have it!

Good improvement.I advice you to keep the pace going, would benefit in health aspects in the long run.I started off with a 2 mile walk, took me around 35 minutes. Now taking 30 minutes. For me,a sort of inspiration from you.
