My Big Race
I'm so pumped I just have to crow a bit. I just finished my first 5K race (in a long, long, time). I trained for 8 weeks following a c25k program and I met my goal of a 40 minute 5K.
Now I'm looking forward to my next 5K, (in May, at the beach, 36 minute goal time) and starting training for a 10K. I'm hooked! and the weight is coming off faster now that I've taken up running. I'm still obese, but closing in on overweight.
Hey, if a 51 year old couch potato (wait no, no more potato chips) can do this, anyone can.

Congrats!
Like anything else, you can get used to the heat!
