Oh hell....I didn't run or jog 20 years  ago when I was 110 lbs and active duty in the Military! (Well I had too, but it was excruitiatingly painful!) So I can't tell you. I jogged the other day to help a neighbor catch their loose dog and I think my boobies about wanted to beat me into submission....

If I was being chased by a thug with a gun I would just turn around and say "Shoot me already...I'm NOT running!" now...Weight lifting, martial arts, horseback riding that kind of stuff I can do all day long... LOL!

Warmly,
Jackie

I weight 188 and am only 5'2.5 so I'm still pretty chunky but I'm working towards being able to run too.  Tonight I did 45 minutes on the treadmill.  I walked at 3.3 most of the time and did 5 sprints (if you can call them that) at 4.4 for 2 minutes each.  Not much running at all but it's more than I've ever done.  I keep telling myself that 10 minutes of running is GREAT, even if it is all broken up into much much smaller times.

I look forward to hearing about y'all progress!

I'm 232.  And I'm on week 8.1 of C25K on the treadmill.  I have also started tackling the road as well.  But running or jogging if you prefer at a 4.5 speed for a half hour...is pretty darn good for me.  I sweat like mad and I know something's moving!
My walking speed has picked up as well.  Now I started C25K at a 3.9.  So I am very happy with my progress.  And like every one says...The shoes make the difference.
