Marathon Part Two: Recovery

Thanks to all for their words of support for finishing. Well, now I'm getting worried. While yesterday I could barely walk, today is much better but I'm concerned about hydration. I drank TONS of G2, Powerade, and water the same day after, and continued yesterday, and drank 32 oz of water before I even left the house this morning and have drank another 32 since being at work and I still feel like I haven't drank in days....and not peeing like I think I should be.

Overall, feeling much much better today other than that. How do you fix it? Will it correct itself if I keep continuing this drinking schedule? Am I missing something?

Be happy.

Keep on drinking!
You got dehydrated during the marathon and your body is replenishing itself.
You will finally recover.

Congrats on the race.

what he said.  but more importantly, don't underestimate how long it takes to fully recover from a marathon (especially your first one)... it took me weeks to feel comforatable running again.  a lot of people follow a reverse taper program with a lot of rest the 2 weeks after a marathon.
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.

Give yourself some time to recover. It's been through a lot. You'll find yourself getting back to normal soon.
