Beautiful ride this weekend

If there hadn't been a head wind or cross wind most of the way it would have been absolutely wonderful.  All the hills are green and the mustard is starting to grow.

Nice ride.

It was a great weekend for riding! I feel ya about the wind tho...going 44mph with a crosswind was a new and scary experience for me...
Well hope you have many more days to enjoy the beauty of our NorCal countrysides.

Thanks!  There were a couple times I had a death grip going on the bike.  I was afraid it was going to blow me out into the traffic lane.

But the second half of the ride it all quited down and I was able to enjoy the countryside.

Have you been able to get much riding in?
You have that long ride from SF to LA coming up don't you?

I hate being lost.

My gps battery died prior to the start of the ride, I forgot to charge it.  So I did the whole ride with a good old printed map.

I really missed knowing how far it was to the next turn.

It's beautiful up there. I'm looking forward to the Napa to Sonoma Half in July so I can enjoy the country side. Looks like a beautiful ride.

Our weather is not nearly as severe as yours is.
I did go out on one ride though where there was snow on the hills in the pass we were riding through.  Boy was it cold on the downhill portion freezing out with a 45 mph wind going downhill.

I hope you get a break in the weather soon.
