Optimum Health Group 5k

Went out today for my chiropractor's initial 5k event. It was cold and tough on the lungs but I chugged through and finished keeping a easy pace after getting a little too excited at the start. I got a bronze medal in my age group (M50-59). Probably medaled more because the fast runners weren't aware of the event, than because of any effort on my part. My running partner and her girlfriend got 1 and 2 in their age group (F40-49). Legs feel good now, but the lungs are still gasping for air. Gotta go now and hang up the bling on my running wall.

Congratulations! I bet you scared all the faster runners off when they saw you coming. You deserved the bronze!

Enjoy your bling.

Congratulations Rob!  It can't be much longer before Mother Nature flips the switch and the air temperature warms up.  I'm ready to resume biking to work, but the weather just hasn't been cooperating.
