Well now what do I do?

I have been exercising religiously for over 4 years now and just made a recommittment to my program. Well two days ago I did something to my ankle at work, (stepped sideways off my heels of one shoe) and I am not able to do much of anything, let alone exercising like I have been. How do I minimize the damage? This sucks both mentally and physically!

Ok, done whining...........

I would just take it easy on intense cardio until your ankle feels better. My ankle is constantly messed up from playing soccer, so I know the feeling. You can still lift weights and do low impact activity like walking and this goes a long way. Also, make sure your diet is on point if you are exercising less frequently than usual.

I told my husband that tomorrow I am going to start with some swimming. My ankle is still a little to sore for even to much walking. So I think swimming is the direction I am heading right now. Thanks for all the encouragement and advice. Loving it!
