I will be 22 on the 30th... I am engaged to the MAN of my DREAMS. and I am completely stuck in life.  Everytime I get into a work out routine, I last for about a week, and then just stop, and it turns into a once a week. I cant find my motivation. Last winter I lost 45 lbs. meant my fiance and gained it back, I'm assuming because I got comfortable with him.... But the weight I'm at is not healthy for me beng 5'5 and 22 yrs old. Im at my highest weight and even still cant help myself...

Anyone have good at home exercises??

Diet tips?

HELP?

I do step aerobics at home. I love music and I found some good music that is the perfect beat and I step away! It is great exercise. I know what you mean about getting comfortable and having trouble maintaining. Hang in there, reasses, get back to exercise and come here and read and post. Good luck!

you really need to set some tangible goals, so every workout has a purpose.  After a while it will become part of your lifestyle, but its so hard at first.  A lot of us here use races, either running, cycling or triathlons, though there are plenty of other physical goals you could set, like climbing a certain mountain, walking a certain distance etc etc.  My suggestion is to pick a 5k a few months away nearby, pay the entry fee (so you are committed to it) and aim to fini****

The trick is to find something you enjoy and stick to it. This is a lifestyle change to get healthy and working out is part of that. If it is just walking put everything you got into it and make it a habit. Habits are hard to break. At home you can walk or run outside , squats, lunges, crunches, planks, pushups, or buy some dumbells and do some strength training.

Good luck to you!

When I kept falling out of my routine years ago, I signed up for the Breast Cancer 3-day walk.  I trained my butt off for MONTHS to be able to walk 20 miles/day for 3 days.  I knew it was pain now or pain later, and I preferred to just train than suffer at the event.

I always need a "next event" to train for.

I also keep some hand weights at home and do those while watching TV.  I've also been known to walk in place (not the BEST workout, but better than nothing) in front of the TV.  Do you watch American Idol? Dancing with the stars?  Dance along to the music.  Get down with your bad self.  I've also played around with the On Demand exercise programs.  They are simple, easy to follow and are 20-30 minutes.

As for Diet tips, I have been tracking my food on a website (I use thedailyplate.com) which helps me know how much I'm eating, if I've gotten enough protein, and how much i should eat to meet my weight loss/maintenance goals.

Well, not sure I can help. I gained over a hundred pounds when I met my husband, he did too. My weight continued to go up and down after 3 children. So when I was 29 I decided I COULDN'T do it on my own. I'll be honest. I wasn't ready when I was 22 to handle the post op life of a ds. At 22 I was finishing school, planned a wedding, getting a job, etc. buying a house. I couldn't focus on me.

I suggest you try weigh****chers or a low carb diet.REad Atkins revolution. That is how I eat now post op. I have lost all my excess weight. So I feel funny giving advice when I couldn't do it on my own but I promise you I tried it all.

edited to add. write in a journal like livestrong.com or myfitnesspal and see how many carbs you are eating. Try to get under 50 a day.
