got a rare two-a-day in today, was able to fit in 1600 meters swimming (various drills) in around 44 minutes when my daughter was at her gymnastics practice this evening.
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.

Holy Moly!  I fell off the wagon a little over a year ago after running a half marathon!  I ain't done **** since then.... till tonight!  I walked both dogs a mile each and I did 15 minutes of Tai Chi.  I know that's a lot less then where I was over a year ago, but I DID DO SOMETHING!  I got my butt off the sofa and did it!  GO ME!!

I worked out for the first time today since my surgery. A little over three weeks out.

I walked a mile on the treadmill, then did a set of just arm weights (5 machines, three sets of ten reps on 25 pounds, that is all the doc will clear me for so far.)

Then I had karate class tonight and I warmed up the kids and did fifteen minutes of stretching myself then I taught and demonstrated kicks for half an hour.

Finally feel like myself. In pain right now - the same area on the left hand side where the drain came out - but I am sure it will go away after a good nights sleep.

I have copious amounts of sweat while sparring and it gets SO hot. Everyone always thinks I've worked out so hard, but its just the headgear!

I am serious that headgear is like an oven, even worse with the face gaurd on because then it holds in the hot air when you exhale.

I traded out my Lexan plastic face shield for an actual face cage when I got my brown belt. It is a bit cooler, but heavier on my head, plus I feel like it obstructs my vision a little. At least that is what I say when I take all those punches to the head.
