Protein intake after weights
I'm a huge believer in taking in protein within 30-45 minutes of a heavy weights session but here's my dilemma. I go to the gym in the morning and spend 40 min after my workout showering and getting ready for work. I have no place to keep my shake cold in the meantime so it's sometimes an hour before I can get to it which I'm worried may affect everything.
How do you handle this?

A cooler in my car or protein bars. You could also look into a protein that you can mix with water so you don't have to worry about keeping it cold.

I use Fluid Recovery drink. I mix it with water right after the workout and drink it as I shower and change and drive to my next event.

If you buy them premixed a little cooler works well. My wife has one that looks like a purse that she carries everywhere (really great going to a movie and not spending 5.00 for a bottle of water).
Personally, I put a little water (about half inch on the bottom) in a used regular 1 liter water bottle and freeze it. Then mix my water and protein in that and the ice keeps it cold for awhile. I use a kitchen funnel and just pour in my protein, creatine and a little splenda , mix with enough water to fill the bottle and shake. My wife thinks I'm nutz.
Pre-mixed you can try freezing them the night before and should be ready to drink by the time you get done. Depends on the weather.
Good luck.
