i had 2 specific tests taken, 1) RMR, which is my resting metabolic rate or the amount of calories i would burn in a day without exercise, and 2) VO2max (definition copied from wikipedia):  is the maximum capacity of an individual's body to transport and use oxygen during incremental exercise, which reflects the physical fitness of the individual. The name is derived from V - volume per time, O2 - oxygen, max - maximum.

VO2max is more of a relative measurement of fitness level, it is useful if you track your VO2max against yourself over time, it hasn't proved to be useful to compare your VO2max against others.

The bod pod will give %fat/lbody composition, that is a different test altogether, but still very useful.  on the bod pod, do you feel that as it is essentially a measurement of volume displacement, that loose skin will skew the results?
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.

Easy day today since my first metric century is on Saturday, did a 40 minute ride on the trainer, then a 1.2 mile brick run, wanted to run much longer but my IT bands said no.

you were right about the tri vs. road bike.. I love that tri position on the road!  Only issue is my neck is really sore.. do you find you keep your eyes not as far up the road as you did on the road bike or do you think I might need to adjust the handle bars a bit so I am more upright?

Just finished 3.6 miles outside.
TKD class tonight.

I hit the gym dark and early this am only to find out I packed 2 shirts and no shorts. A round trip home would have meant I would have been late to work so I just did my run at lunch.

Got to get on my tri bike on the road for the first time today!  what an awesome day here in the Hudson Valley - clear and 60 degrees.  Felt so awesome, even with the lousy cold I am battling.  About 40 minutes and I was flying, probably averaged about 19 MPH, which is well over the 16 I was averaging before the winter.  The tri bike seems soooo much faster than my Orbea, or maybe all those spin classes and stairmaster workouts are paying off.  Neck is stiff as heck though from the position.  Need to work on that...
