As mentioned, I joined Bill and Paul at my first 5K!! When I set out with my C25K training, I had April 16th circled as my first 5K, so I thought I had plenty of time. Well, plans changed.

So, I went for it today. Even with a couple minutes of walking I snuck in just under 30 minutes: 29:50!!! I was thrilled. And having my family there for support, meeting Bill, and high-fiving Paul at the finish line, all helped keeping me focused.

Beautiful Day in Georgia!

Big congrats to Chad, Bill, and Paul!

I took the hour drive to Savannah and got in a 43 mile bike ride, I saw many cyclists on the road, that made me feel good for some reason. It was a good ride.

just stretching for me.  I'm as nervous as before my first 5k and my first marathon..  really anxious to see where I am really at in my training.  Drove the course and it looks really rough, lots of hills, its gonna be a tough one tomorrow!  weather looks great though!

You'll do fine.  Just take the those hills one at a time.

thanks Rob, I will try!  Prob is they hit you with a whopper at the first mile, guess they are trying to break your spirits!  I read in the comments the course is analogous to the cause in a way (Cancer treatment),  huge whopper hill to start, lots of hills and bumps in the middle, a couple of climb outs followed by a easy downhill finish - gonna use that in the race and think of the loved ones in my life that have dealt with it (and our friends right here on the board).

4.6 mile run this morning outside. We thought that we had gone a lot longer and were surprised by the mileage on the GPS. It started out cold but got warm fast. Looking forward to a long run tomorrow down by the river (if it has resided).

Helped with our New to the Sport program. We did some bike handling drills and then a short bike ride to get used to riding in a group.
