Awesome start to the tri season!  You've really got some power and speed in those legs.  Your husband must be totally proud of  the athlete that you've become.   I see more podium finishes in your future.

Incredible! I had tears in my eyes, felt like I was right there with you. Congratulations, and finishing 2nd is just the icing on the cake.

How did you get started in tris? I've been thinking about doing one but don't know how to start, I don't even own a bike.

Thanks!

First thing I did was buy a entry level road bike last summer for $620. A few days after that I registered for a sprint triathlon, so there was no turning back. I started swimming (poorly) and biking, and kept running, and started doing brick. Everything came together for the 2 sprint triathlons I did last year.

I have since upgraded to a triathlon bike, and I continued training all winter. You can do this, its so much fun! I like triathlons a lot better than road races.

Thank you for all your kind words! I love racing triathlons, I know I am fortunate that tri season has started already down here in South GA, and I am looking forward to hearing about everyone's triathlons this year.

You all inspire me each and every day, I am so fortunate to be in the company of such awesome people.
