Calorie Burn

I purchased a bodybugg system so I could figure out my actual calorie burn.  Because I don't push myself on my own, I prefer to take group classes.  In an effort to get things moving in the right direction, I started tracking how many calories I burn in 4 classes.  All 4 are in one night.  They are:  45 min weight lifting class; 30 min ab/core class; 45 min cardio class; 30 min power stretching class.  My average is between 750 - 775 calories.
Since it has been a long time since I just WALKED I tried the treadmill one night.  I could only get my speed to 3.6 mph.  So the teacher of the classes I mentioned above had me do intervals (speed and incline) for 20 minutes.  In just that 20 minutes I burned 450 calories.
I understand that some people just walk for their post surgery exercise.  I also want to be toning and strengthening which is why I include the other classes.  However, my weight is not moving outside of my normal 10# range.
I am wondering if I am wasting my time (for right now) in the classes and should I just stick with the treadmill; or what is the deal?  I have been fighting the same 10# range for over a year and am getting very frustrated.
Any ideas/suggestions/opinions are appreciated.  Thanks in advance for your time.

All those classes are great and should help with the weightloss and toneing.  The bigger issue with the weightloss (the one that most of us face post op) is how are you doing with your simple carb intake?  I struggle with that one the most.  I use exercise to help control my misuse of simple carbs...sugar, chips, candy, pasta, breads.  Just me.

Thanks everyone.  I am starting to think it is the carbs in my diet.  And I tend to think that I can exercise those carbs away.  But it is not working.  So, if anyone can share how to remove these successfully...
Thanks,

i think you are on the right track exercise wise, weight training is an important element that a lot of us ignore post-op.  how is your nutrition?  are you tracking/journalling your food intake, i would take as hard a look at what's going into your mouth as you are with your exercise program.  best of luck!
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.
