I really want to try running.  Does anyone have any suggestions for me to get started?

Couch to 5k program is wonderful for someone just starting out. Just google it and it's free. Then get a pair of running shoes. You will love it!

i think that a lot of folks here have had a ton of success with the couch to 5K program.  do a google search and you should be able to find a lot of good information about it.  just go slow and enjoy yourself.  also, post on the daily workout thread, it halps with motivation and accountability.  best of luck!
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.

I loved C25K - it was a great start for me!  Now I am working on a 1/2 Marathon - so remember even when it gets hard that you can do it!

I'm on Week 3 of the Couch to 5K. It is really kicking my butt, but I have such a feeling of accomplishment when I finish the work out! I have it on my iPod and you even make your own playlist from your iTunes library. Good luck!!
