Time for a change in routine
I have hit a wall with my exercise program. For the last year, I have been taking a pretty high intensity exercise class twice per week, 90 mins of yoga once per week and doing treadmill running/walking followed by weight lifting 2 or 3 days per week. I have lost a lot of fat and have developed some muscle but have not really made much movement in months. I actually gained a couple pounds recently.
I decided that I needed to change my routine. I quit the exercise class and the yoga class and started a 60 minute cycling class twice per week instead. I am meeting with a personal trainer tonight to help me with a running/weight lifting routine for the days that I'm not cycling 2-3 days per week.
I'm a little nervous. No one here knows that I have had WLS so I can't really explain my nutritional needs. I'm going to eat a protein bar 1 hour before and drink a protein drink 30 mins before. I think that will give me the energy I need to get through the p/t session. This particular trainer is pretty tough.
Wish me luck.
