The first time you do something - It's going to be a personal record!
Hmmmm...I am running my first marathon (The Grand Rapids Metro Health) in October. Would it be reasonable to think I could do the Disney in January?
I am currently on track with my training program. I'm up to about 20 miles per week now. I'm doing a 5k this Saturday. A few other 5 or 10 Ks in the next few months leading up to the Grand Rapids River Bank 25K in May.
So what do some of you experienced runners/marathoners think?
This whole Disney weekend thing sounds like a blast.

I think you have plenty of recovery time in there.
Your fitness level and endurance will already be up there.
You could take a week or two off after the first marathon, just some light stuff to keep yourself loose and active, then start amping up for it again.

I did the Detroit 2009 marathon (same weekend as Grand Rapids), NYC 2009 Marathon (November 1) and Disney 2010 (January). I don't think I'd pack 3 so close together again, but to do Grand Rapids, take 2 weeks off and do approximately 7-8 weeks of training to get back for Disney would be doable and still allow you to recover/keep training fresh.
Great link to training plans for this:

Good look, Disney is a blast. Maybe something good will happen with my wife's employment and we'll get an opportunity to join you guys!
