Six years ago my life was a mess and now I have more control and I'm happy. I'm the Publisher of a new fitness, bodybuilding, weight loss, healthy-living online magazine. The link is www.pumptvmag.com. On that site you will find bodybuilders yes, but you will also read amazing weight loss stories and read my story of my Journey to the Stage. This year I made it my goal to train and prepare to become a figure competitor. I host a radio show every Wednesday evening at 6pm EST on www.blogtalkradio.com/pumptvradio. You will hear my continued struggles with food, my struggle to keep food down and still eat the right foods. You will hear my challenges to exercise and still run a company and my home as a single mom. My radio co-host is my trainer who monitors my meals and exercise plan.

Not everyone wants to be a bodybuilder, but we all want to be healthy and these athletes have a drive and focus I admire and that is why I'm making my journey to the stage. Please ask me any questions and tune in to my show; also in your spare time read my magazine. There are stories you can relate to. As well, you can be featured in the magazine with your amazing weight loss story....

Please support another voice of weight loss struggle!!

I am too old to consider competition...and I lack dedication....but I am into cardiac exercise and weight lifting.  I like the online mag...interesting articles...I like the recipe section...inspirational pictures!  Good work, well done  :)

Thank you for the encouraging words.  You said something that is so far from true, "you lack dedication".  That is far from true, you were dedicated to take control of your life and lose the weight.  No matter the method it's a life changing choice to make and I apllaude you

Now as far as your age, in next months issue of the magazine we have two women that are featured and they are bodybuilder, one is 64 and one is 75. They are amazing women that say, not everyone should be a boydbuilder, but we all need to make the decision to be healthy.

So, please do not let your age stop you, you are as young as you feel and you are still an inspiration to everyone around you....

Please tune into my show tonight and feel free to call in to say hello, i would love to hear from you.  The show starts tonight at 6pm EST

Wow! That is great! You are awesome!
I used to tease my husband about my becoming a body builder. He would laugh and say, "You're really going to have to work at it"    That is true.  I am 7 months out and am 30 pounds from goal.  I have lots of skin hanging on my inner thighs and upper arms. I am also working on my midsection (that flesh is still fat; not empty)  I am exercising but it does not seem to be tightening up. I am so afraid that I will not be able to wear a bathing suit this summer because of it.
What can I do to target those areas?
Did you have plastic surgery?
For me, that is not an option now ($$). My surgeon says that I should start to think about that when I am one to two years out.
Should I expect that this will be an issue for me? I am 46 years old and have had 3 children.
My surgeon simply says work out as often as you can and do not target any one particular area because I don't want to look awkward.
Help!

When I first started losing weight I felt the same way.  I had a trainer that was helping me to gain more muscle.  You will not look like a female bodybuilder if you do weight training.  Actually its the best thing for you.  Eat the protein, protein feds the muscle which will fill-out your muscles the best and you will have amazing sculpted arms and legs.

along with that, yes the extra skin will be there, i have lots of it and i call it my trophy.  It says, yes i used to be big but look at me now..and I'm not embarrassed anymore.

On my Radio show we talk more about how to build the muscle and on March 2ND we will have a celebrity plastic surgeon on the show and you can call in to ask him questions..

Tune in tonight at 6pmEST on www.blogtalkraidio.com/pumptvradio.   Or you can log on to my website and click on the radio tab to hear my past shows, www.pumptvmag.com

It is SO awesome to see this!!
I am almost a month post op, and weigh 199.0 as of this morning.
My husband competitively power lifts, and I have always wanted to get into some form of fitness competition.
Any advice on someone just starting out?
Hubby is putting together some strength training for me to start with just with bands and free freights, and I really do like calisthenics.
You looks absolutely fantastic and are an inspiration!
Good for you, and congrats on all your success!! :)

Thank your for your support, the positive words help me to continue on this journey.

The best thing for you is to eat the protein like they tell us to do.  Protein feeds the muscles, and then you have to work your muscles more than normal.  Now, do not be afraid to do this you will NEVER get big like a female bodybuilder, it takes years to look like that.  But to have the beautiful sculpted body you have to work the muscles that is so important.

Make sure you keep up with it.  you may still have to have extra skin removed but if you build the muscle up now you may see that it's not necessary to have surgery.

So I encourage you to hit those weights and follow my journey as you will see my body transform.  I will be posting new pictures in the next issue of my magazine and I have a weekly discussion on my on-line radio show.  Tune in tonight at 6pm-EST on www.blogtalkraio.com/pumptvradio or you can go to my website at ww.pumptvmag.com

Read my life story there and as you lose your weight, you can become an amazing weight loss story in my magazine and your story will encourage others as well...

Wow, very impressive!
I've been working very hard with weights and have built up nice muscles (IMHO) but I'm still dealing with all this extra skin.
You have inspired me to work harder at this, it is possible.

Thank you for your encouraging words.  Working with the weights is the best thing to do.  yes the extra skin will be there but not as bad if you did nothing.

No pain, no gain

Keep up the good work!!
