C25K Check-in Week 4
Pretty good week. Was afraid of the jump to 5 minute running intervals...as scared as I am of the 8 minute interval coming next week.
Mon: 6mph run/3.1mph walk
Tues: 6mph run/3.3 mph walk. 458 cals, 2.4 miles, 31:24 mins
Thurs: 6mph run/3.3 mph walk. 361 cals, 2.32 miles, 38:17 mins (different treadmill, so the calorie calculation is different...)
Then, in a twist of fate, I added a FOURTH RUN!!!
Sat: 6.6mph/3.3mph walk. 4 min walk, 3 min run, 2 min walk, 6 min run!!, 3 min walk, 5 min run, 4 min cooldown walk. 434 cals, 2.5 miles.
Scared of week 5...but I believe I can do it...I think I can. I think I can...

Boy, did reading your post bring back C25K memories from this past fall. Every week that passed I was exhausted and thankful for what I had achieved, but terrified of what was to come the next week. I had to fight through some serious mental blocks and some physical pain, but I was able to do it. I believe in the program and I wish you luck getting throug it! Keep your nose to the grindstone and it WILL happen.
Today I did a 3 mile run, which was the culimination of the Week 1 of Hal Higdon's 10k Novice training program. Give yourself a few months and you'll be amazed by how much stamina you have built up!
