Lapband adjustment due to hard training?

I have a question about lapband and training.  Currently, I'm seeing a personal trainer as well as conditioning for football.  I noticed that after football practice, I'm ravenous.  I want to eat, eat, and eat some more.  I know that exercising can increase the appetite.  I just don't think I should be able to eat as much with the lapband, but I can at these times.  I'm still losing weight.  I currently have 7ccs in a10cc band so it's pretty tight.  I was just wondering if I should get an adjustment to slow my eating during training.

There are conflicting reports about whether increase exercises increases the appetite. Some say it's all in the head, while others say it's real. I tend to feel like it increases my appetite a bit.

I'm banded too. I would say since you are somewhat new to the band that you should hold off on getting a fill unless your doctor says otherwise. It's never a good idea to resort to a fill every time you experience an increase in your appetite. You should take a hard look at what is different in your lifestyle first and be very honest with yourself. My problem is that I often give myself the "green light" to eat a little more "relaxed" when I'm working out a lot. I am a former obese person so I have to face my issues and be very careful.

I would suggest you up your protein intake and see if that helps. I would also make sure your hydrating yourself well. You could be dehydrated after a workout and you might be mistaking it as hungry. Best wishes and good job on your training!

I would also recommend upping your protein intake as well hydration. Have you tried having a protein shake post workout?

I don't think an adjustment is the way to go since you are already at 7 cc's in a 10 cc band. If you're band is too tight, you will have other problems on your hands; I know this from experience. You are better off trying to switch up the nutrition a bit and hydrate more.

Hope you find you're solution quickly and good luck with your football training.

lap band here too. I think you should focus on eating good stuff for recovery and then mentally try to not focus on it. I don't think a fill would be a good idea though.

Do some kind of protein afterwards and then give it 30 min before doing something else.

I am hungry after big workouts, but not every workout. When I was on mile 9 of my half marathon I all the sudden got VERY hungry. I ate prior to race. I think it can make you hungry.

Oh and you said you are still losing weight. I say stick with what it if it is working.

Thanks for all of the replies.  I went to the doctor this morning and just wanted to let you know what he said.  He said that it's perfectly normal for me to feel very hungry after a big workout.  I'm sure it's not dehydration because leading up to Saturday I had plenty of water and Saturday during practice I had a gallon of water.  I was still hungry.  He wants me to get an adjustment, but not due to this problem.  He did suggest upping protein.
