Got my new steed this morning!!! 2011 Specialized Robaix SL3 Expert.  OH BOY!

My first steed.  A very old Hardrock, that got me into cycling, a couple century rides and massive weight loss.

Looks awesome.  Time to put some miles on...  First icile bike ride was today down here.  Had to skip it, but look forward to gettting the bike back out on the road.

BEAUTIFUL!!!

2 years ago, I bought my first road bike.  Exact same blue/white colors.  It is a Specialized Dolce.  After a few months of road grime, I lost my infatuation with white bar tape though.  It looks just as beautiful with black specked tape.

Enjoy the new ride!

I am creating my own revolution and PAMdemonium reigns!

If I remember, envy is one of the deadly sins...I think I'm in trouble!!  Because of my back I was looking to move up to the Trek 7100 or 7500.  They come in at 31 pounds (I weighed one 2 days ago).  Having 11 pounds less to carry up a hill will make all the difference in the world.  Have fun with your new toy...And enjoy the ride.

Congrats!
Nice looking ride.
You are going to see a huge difference even if it isn't noticeable to you right away.

I took my new bike out for a ride yesterday and while it didn't feel much faster, the results were in the time.  When I mashed the pedals, the bike just accellerated away from my riding partner.  I had to ride with less intensity or I would leave him behind.  I felt like I was riding at a pace I would keep when riding with my 8 y/o I had to free spin and coast a lot.

I'm still waiting for my first hill climb.  The one thing I noticed right away is the bike feels shorter, and it is a lot more responsive.  When you stand and pedal, there was no need to rock the bike from side to side to get that "extra" power and when I did, the bike wanted to turn.  I compare it to the suspension between a race car and an old Cadillac.

I'm sure I'll get used to it, but it was a blas to ride.

The first time you do something - It's going to be a personal record!
