Ride Across Indiana (RAIN) 2011... i'm riding for the Hubbards

As some of you know, last year Duane Hubbard and I rode the RAIN event (160 miles in one day, point to point) with SAG support from Alisica.  I've been thinking pretty hard lately about the Hubbard's fight with Duane's medical complications, and i've come to the conclusion that I am going to enter the event again this year, and ride FOR the Hubbards.  I am going to attempt a lofty goal (for me) and finish in under 9 hours, i finished in 9 hours and 43 minutes last year.

I welcome any and all people interested in joining me in this event in July.

Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

Bill -- I want to THANK YOU!! This means the world to me and I KNOW that Duane would be deeply touched. I have shared the news with him (of course right now, not sure how much he is taking in) but I will keep telling him.

You NEVER know what he might end up doing this year.  He may just join you!!

I still "might" be able to SAG for you all again.

So happy that our paths have crossed.  We are blessed to know such amazing people.

Amazing, and touching!  My BF has been interested in this event, so I'm gonna see if he's wanting to do it this summer - gives me an excuse to come out and cheer you ALL on! (it's a lot out of my league at this point since I don't even own a bike, nevermind know how to ride one!)

Great idea! I live in Richmond, where the ride ends, and I'll spring for dinner for everyone who participates.
