How do you like Kettleworx?  I caught myself watching the ENTIRE infomercial last weekend and I really wanted to order it.  I was thinking I might get a kettleball and just give it a whirl at home for a little while..

 hey Kaite!

I LOVE the Kettleworx DVDs - but I must tell you that I've had and worked out with kettlebells for about a year before this.  I was introduced to them by a personal trainer and I have a book and one other DVD with routines - so this isn't my 'first' time at the rodeo.....

That said - I don't think it's truly a beginner type DVD - I know it says it is, but kettlebells can hurt the baJESUS outta you if you don't have proper form and understand how to move your body working with them - it's very different than dumbells.

WalMart carries Gold's Gym home products - they have kettlebells at very reasonable prices. Not sure if there is an Academy Sports store in your area, but they have them too - with a line that includes a really good instructional DVD.  but - and I say this with other weight training - the BEST thing to do starting out is work with a qualified trainer - learning form and technique in the beginning is an investment you can't lose out on.

Give them a try - I think once you do, you'll be hooked!

Ok, I am back and this time I am not going anywhere...I have taken way to much time off...I got ****y and I won't let that happen again.  I thought doing the minimum would be enough, but then the minimum became really minimal and I have paid the price.  I gained about 3 pounds...now some of it could be water, but I am not waiting around to find out.

So today I hit the gym and did a full body workout and will run this weekend and start my "normal" gym routine on Monday!!!  I did not have my insides messed with just to ruin myself in the end!!!  So I am back on the horse.  Thanks for reading my little rant!!!

Have good one!!!!

I did an hour of Boot Camp at the Y from 0530-0630. It is really challenging for me. I have been running 2 1/2 years and felt I was in somewhat decent shape which I may be for lower body but my upper body strength and core strength need alot of work!

I did a leisurely walk today with some friends.  Two had newborn babies and one is pregnant so we walked at their speed :)  Not much of a workout persay but it lifted my mood.  But today, friday and saturday are rest days really so I can prep for my half on Sunday.

I will do step aerobics tonight but plan on taking it easy.
