So, I am happy to report that I completed my first 2 runs after almost 5 months of not running at all!!  They were short, but I finished them and man did they feel amazing.  Although, I am WAY out of running shape, my inner thighs and abs are screaming at me.

I'm basically starting from scratch as if I've never run my 3 1/2 marathons and starting over with the couch to 5k program so really it was only 8 minutes of total running each time but those 8 minutes were great!

It looks like this hip procedure that I had done may have done the trick, only time will tell but I'm pretty excited.  Hopefully it only gets better from here!

I'm hoping it comes back quickly!  It's totally amazing to me the different level of conditioning required and muscles used in running vs. the swimming I've been doing.  The other reason for starting from scratch is that I want to be faster so I'm going to try for speed at the outset instead of distance like I did last time.

Great news!  The endorphins are such a rush after coming back from an injury.  You're smart to ease back into it.
