Entered my first 5K run!!
Just finished registering for the Big Sur 5K on May 1st. I walked a 5K last Oct, but this is my first run!!! Yeah me!
I've been running since last May and am up to 2 miles so this is my incentive to add on another one. I added 1/8th mile last Sat and will continue with that pace every couple months.
Wish me luck.

Congratulations to you for setting this goal. You never forget your first 5K. I ran mine on 10/10/10, and when I rounded the corner and saw the finish chute, I got seriously choked up.
Granted, I was dead last of 203 runners, but it doesn't matter. It was a huge personal accomplishment for me, and my time improved in the next race in August. I have details on my blog if you are interested: http://lindafederman.wordpress.com/
Keep up the great work!
