I see a bunch of runners and marathoners on here (and you guys/gals rock!) but I don't run..I didn't even what I was active duty military and only weighed around 125. I cannot stand running.
If there anyone on here who does Bodybuilding (or sculpting) and/or martial arts? That is what I am interested in getting into. I have already began doing bodybuilding (and no...As a woman I do NOT "bulk up" even though I work as much as a man...I simply slim down and sculpt) and this year I want to get into brazilian jujitsu.
Anyone else into this? Or are you all runners?
Thanks in advance.
Warmly,
Jackie

I do ATA Tae Kwon Do, which can be a killer some days.my adult class is about 40% fitness (sit ups push ups and minor cardio) the rest breaks down into technique and self defense. I enjoy Tae Kwon Do as it is more of a mixed technique martial art with both Hand and Foot techniques with some of the self defense being grappling and basic weapon usage.  I am still not flexible enough to accel at the grappeling stuff as it requires stuff I just can't do yet.

What I have come to learn through this process is that you really can do anything you set out to do.  If you put forth total effort you will always be victorious.

I wouldn't call myself a body builder but I'm trying. The weight training is my love and in the past 8 months I have been able to put on 25 pounds of muscle without adding any fat. I do still run for my cardio but not for the true love of it. I run now because I couldn't before and I'm just stuborn that way.
No longer about weight , it's all about living.

i try to do both, i wouldn't call myself a body builder, but i've definitely put on mass over the past two years.  i try to lift an hour 3 to 4 times a week depending on schedule and do cardio 4 to 5 times per week as well.  the best advice is to find something you really enjoy doing.... best of luck and post often, lots of motivation to be found here.
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.
