There was an awesome lengthy article on how running has kept the weight off for former Biggest Loser contestants. Most sucessful contestants have ran marathons, tri, and other events. The article was very inspiring and helpful! It's worth buying this month's issue on stands if you don't receive it monthly!

Interesting things you notice:

People who don't/won't/can't run tell me how bad it is for the joints and how sorry I'm going to be later in life.  People who have made it a part of their lives for many years tell me how wonderful it has been for everything!  Imagine that.

I agree. I can't begin to tell you how many people say to me....I wished I could run, BUT...
I think we totally under estimate the power we have over our bodies. I feel like once your mind is in power, your body response beautifully. Don't get me wrong...I've had my share of injuries and set backs. However, I know with time and being smart about my training, it has improved my life and health in a big way!

There is also, a great article on they MANY long term benefits of running in this months issue. They knocked it out of the water this time. Great issue!!
