Former Athlete - New Here - Seeking Gear
Hi everyone - I'm about 3 months post-op and *love* the feeling of getting my former self (if not body lol) back! It's a slow process, but it's steady and happening.
I live in New England and am looking for the magic snug, **flattering**, warm compression tights, pants, etc. for walking, which will be my first workout. Also super comfy, supportive shoes (don't know if the "toning" shoes work).
I'll end up trying on a lot, but would be so appreciative if you send me your fave makes and models!
Once my yoga, walking and endurance are up, it's back to skiing, riding (horses), tennis ...

I love my cold gear/compression tights, I got them at Target last year. They're actually men's tights - mostly because I wanted them right away and there weren't any in the women's section. I think they're champion brand...could be wrong, but they're AWESOME!!!! I wore them all last winter for running outside, no shorts or other pants on top...and I was never cold. I did spring for several pairs of wool socks (running & hiking) to keep my feet toasty too. I use crew length under my tights so that there's no gap between the socks & tights....only made that mistake a few times!!
I'd go get fit for shoes if I were you...it's worth it. I spent my first four months running in shoes that were too small and didn't fit....go figure I kept getting injured!! I'm sure everyone else will add their two cents...but that's mine!
