NEED HELP ON WEIGHT LOSS BEFORE WLS!!!
I agree with the others, too much sugar in slim fast...The EAS high protein, low carb are ok. I followed the Atkins Induction plan, then my surgeon had a specific diet for my last two weeks pre-op.
The down side of doing all liquid too soon pre-op is that you WILL be on liquids for a week to 2 weeks post op...you'll get pretty sick of some of the stuff...I still can't stand Isopure...but that's me.
Drink Lotsa water...then drink some more! walk and get as much exercise as you can...then drink some more water...get the idea : )
Good luck!

Try different flavors of Isopure (I am assuming you are drinking the RTD [ready to drink] ones) some taste better than others - I remember I only ended up liking a couple of flavors, the rest made me gag. :-D
I agree with the other posters - walk or move as much as you can. When I was starting my journey to my surgery I started doing some of the Wii exercise programs and graduated to walking (I found I actually prefer to be outside, even in Winter). It was pretty short distances at first but I continue to work my way up, besides I get amazing stress relief from walking.
I ended up losing about 43 pounds in about 6 months prior to my surgery.
Best of luck to you, it is a tough road, but well worth it.

I had 4 weeks to lose 30 lbs preop, I did Optifast Shakes and walked 3 times per week. I did a shake for breakfast and lunch. 1/2 bar at breakfast and lunch. Then a shake for morning snack, afternoon snack, and evening snack. Then had a healthy choice meal for dinner. Seems like alot of shakes, but that's what the doc has us do in this program. I lost 28 of the 30. You can do it!
