NEED HELP ON WEIGHT LOSS BEFORE WLS!!!
Maybe others will have another opinion, but both of those choices have lots of sugar and are really not very healthy.
As far as what else to do, walk, run, exercise, swim. Do anything to burn calories. When you first start a heavy exercise program you loose a lot of water weight......but this only if you are healthy...please see your doc.
Do you belong to a gym, maybe they have a dietitian on staff. Most of your high end grocery stores (Hyvee in my area) have at least one dietitian on staff, they are a good resource.
Good luck.

I guess a lot of folks would say its crazy to go all liquid for that long... but considering I had to lose about the same amount in the same amount of time, I can tell you what I did - I used the pre-made EAS Carb Control Shakes (chocolate fudge, if I remember right). Those slimfasts tend to have a lot of sugars and carbs from what I remember. I did two of those a day, and something to actually eat for dinner, but a really small portion and only protein.. no carbs - usually adding up to no more than 350 cals or so. Then I would have a third shake if I needed it at night. Those pre-mades are like 120 cals, so in total its around 700-800 cals for the day. And drink lots of water. All day. Crystal lite works too. Lots and lots.
And then I was walking. Nothing too crazy, just walking as much as possible. Park the car in the far away parking spot, take the stairs. You get the idea.
If you have to do more than that to lose the weight, it probably won't work. Staying at 800 cals for that long without wls takes serious commitment, but you can tell yourself it will be worth it, and after wls you at least won't have to deal as much with the hunger piece of the challenge.
Good luck!

If you are doing slim fast diet, you should get the shakes that are high protien shakes. Drink nothing but 5 shakes a day in addition to that 64 oz of clear fluid beverages (apple juice, water, tea, etc.) Walk or do high intensity cardio 30 minutes day.
I am currently trying to lose 20lbs before January 7th, so I am also on the grind as well to lose weight. I lost 3lbs in two day so far. Good luck and keep us updated.
