Thursday workout
speed work in the pool for about 35 minutes (not sure I can honestly put "speed" and my swimming in the same sentence quite yet) and a 15 minute hill sprint on the stationary bike. Then an hour with the physical therapist stretching, icing and lasering.. legs are really starting to feel better. Hoping to be able to do a real long run maybe even this weekend.
Rest day,but for good reason
My husband was supposed to be back from Iraq last night at 11 pm, but the soldiers were stuck in Germany for an ice storm for 6 hours. So he got back this morning at 3:30 am. I didn't sleep, just stayed up and waited to go get him. We were finally reunited and I can't describe the feeling of happiness and joy. We stayed up until 9 am just catching up, at this point I had been up more than 26 hours and I was beat, and took a few hour nap. Later on we went to a Christmas tree farm with the girls and picked out our tree, came home and decorated it. This is a pic of us taken when we got home at 4:30 am this morning. I did Crossfit. We did some lifting exercises and then we did this thing where we moved around the track tossing a sandbag. If you dropped it, you had to redo the throw and no "traveling" when you are carrying the bag.
