They just posted the 5K result from Sat - 38:17 chip time.  That is NOT my personal best - 37:17 is.  CRAP!!!!

I'm getting my Garmin Forerunner 350 next week for my b-day - time to get serious about this training and figure out how to get some lbs off - that's GOTTA be holding me down - literally.

Blood work came back cool - low on Vitamin D - which is ironic given that I spend MORE time outside now - but my thyroid is fine.  Time to go Ghandi diet style and make it happen, capt'n!!!

 "Ghandi diet style"...your killing me

Your going to like your Garmin.  It is so nice to be able to track your speed.  My last race, I was falling off my pace, and with the Garmin, I could see that I had to kick my self in the ass and get going.  Short of the story, without it, I would not have had a new pr.

Good luck.

I have quiet a few lil witty 'gems' in my toolkit.  I also debated getting a flu shot this season - a good flu or stomach virus knocks off 10-15lbs easy - but I got the dang shot anyway......it's either that or go back to stocking the candy jar outside my office door - if I can't lose, making everyone else fat eases my pain

that pacing help is exactly what I need - now I'm super excited to get it! thanks for the feedback :-)
